Energy company Enray Power has chosen German contractor Greencells Group for the construction of a large-scale solar project in Camblesforth, UK.
Greencells has signed EPC and O&M contracts for the 68.5MWp project, which also includes the integration of a 25.2MWh battery storage system.
Since entering the British market in 2014, Greencells has delivered nearly 50 projects across the country with a total installed capacity of over 500MWp.
The company said the Camblesforth project adds to this track record and includes not only engineering, procurement and construction services but also the long-term operation and maintenance of the site.
As part of the project, a 25.2MWh battery energy storage system will be integrated to enable 10MWac of flexible grid injection over a two-hour period, increasing the project’s grid value and long-term performance.
Chief executive of Greencells Fabian Herr said: “With Camblesforth we continue a decade of successful project execution in the UK and take another step towards integrated future-ready infrastructure.”
