ISE Energia has commissioned a 617kWdc photovoltaic self-consumption facility for Spanish satellite operator Hispasat at its operations centre in Arganda del Rey, Madrid.
The project is designed to reduce the company’s dependence on conventional energy sources and lower its carbon footprint by generating on-site clean electricity.
Gransolar Group subsidiary ISE Energia said the installation was tailored to match Hispasat’s consumption profile and will produce the equivalent of the annual energy use of over 100 homes.
It is expected to cut CO₂ emissions by around 265 tonnes per year.
David Fernandez, director at ISE Energia, said: “This is a perfect example of how innovation can be a bridge to sustainability.”
“We are proud to collaborate with a leading technology company such as Hispasat and are committed to continuing to develop solutions that drive the change towards a cleaner and more efficient energy model.”
Hispasat director of safety and sustainability Miguel Tauler said the project supports the company’s wider environmental and social responsibility objectives.
“This project is part of our commitment to protect the environment and be socially responsible,” he said.
ISE Energia said the project integrates technical precision with a strategic focus on energy transition goals.
