Cambridge Power has been granted planning permission for a 50MW solar farm in Bedfordshire. Bedford Borough Council approved the plans for Cobholden Solar Farm, which will be located near Staploe. In addition to the solar panels and associated infrastructure, the application includes significant ecological and landscape enhancement such as tree and scrub planting, hedgerow enhancement, and wildflower areas. Overall, the scheme will deliver over 100% net increase in the biodiversity of the land, Cambridge Power said.
