BLC Energy has submitted applications for two solar and battery storage projects in Fife and Angus totalling 100MW of generation and 100MW of storage. The Perthshire-based developer, in partnership with TRIO Power, has filed Section 36 applications for the West Springfield Solar and BESS near Cupar and the Cossans Solar and BESS near Forfar. The projects will combine large-scale solar arrays with battery systems designed to store excess power and release it during peak demand periods.
