Iberdrola and Italian retail group Pam Panorama have signed a solar power purchase agreement (PPA).
Starting from January 2026, the 10-year PPA will supply the retail and point-of-sale operations of the Pam, Panorama, Pam local and Pam City brands in Italy.
By the end of 2025, Iberdrola will have an installed capacity of around 400MW in Italy thanks to the imminent inauguration of its third operational plant and the completion of the construction of four additional solar projects.
“We are proud to support partners like Pam Panorama in choosing energy solutions oriented towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
“The agreement represents the implementation of Iberdrola’s strategy to prioritize the marketing of renewable energy to industrial partners, offering flexible and advantageous solutions for leading customers in their sector,” said Lorenzo Costantini, Commercial Director of Iberdrola Italia.
Alessandro Riolfo, Technical Director of Pam Panorama, added: “The agreement with Iberdrola represents a concrete step in Pam Panorama’s sustainability journey.
“Our commitment to reducing environmental impact translates into strategic choices that combine innovation, efficiency and responsibility.
“Thanks to this collaboration, we will also be able to power our stores with renewable energy, contributing significantly to the decarbonization of the large-scale retail sector.
“We are convinced that investing in sustainable solutions is not only a duty to the environment, but also a value for our customers and for the communities in which we operate.”
Iberdrola has signed 15 agreements in Europe to date.
