Q Energy is to construct three new large-scale solar plants in Spain, with a total capacity of 204MWp.
The new energy parks will be built in the Andalusia region and are expected to generate enough electricity to supply more than 92,000 Spanish households and avoid over 62,000 tons of carbon dioxide a year.
With a capacity of 105MWp, 73MWp and 26MWp respectively, the solar parks are being built in the provinces of Seville, Jaen and Cordoba.
Q Energy has been the developer of the projects and is also responsible for the entire process of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC).
During the construction phase, Q Energy will deploy more than 350,000 PV modules on tracker-based sub constructions to optimise energy yield.
The PV parks are expected to be completed between the end of this year and the second half of 2026.
Altogether, the three solar projects will cover areas equivalent to more than 450 hectares.
Andalusia is a key area of development for Q Energy. Four more solar parks are currently being installed in the region or are close to being energised.
The total capacity of all Q Energy projects in the region adds up to around 400MWp.
