Qair Group says it has enhanced its Italian subsidiary with the awarding of a solar project in Sicily and a new management structure.
The 26MW photovoltaic project in Castellammare has been secured in the 16th tender of the FER 1 Decree administered by GSE, the national energy agency.
This concluded Italy’s incentive programme for renewable energy, allocating 457.6MW across solar, wind, and hydro facilities.
Meanwhile Qair has appointed Krzysztof Wojtysiak as its new country director for Italy.
Wojtysiak has been an integral part of Qair since the inception of Qair Polska, where he played a key role in its creation and growth.
He also led the establishment of Qair in Montenegro and continues to oversee operations there.
Qair Group says it is advancing rapidly in the Italian renewable energy sector. Recently, Qair commissioned its first solar park in Marrubiù, Sardinia, which complements its existing wind farm in Piedmont.
The team in Italy is gearing up to commence construction of nearly 100MW of authorised solar projects.
