Gonvarri Solar Steel has signed a deal with Solarig to supply 130MW of its solar trackers and fixed structures in Italy.
The agreement includes the supply of over 5300 trackers and 530 fixed-tilt racks across a cluster of three projects in Italy.
Solar Steel is celebrating 15 years of supplying solar technologies in Italy, having first entered the market in 2010.
The company’s 1P trackers and fixed structures will support more than 209,000 high-power modules, optimising solar capture in Italy’s uneven terrain.
Solar Steel said the systems are tailored to local land conditions, ensuring efficient energy generation and tracking performance.
Construction of the mixed solar parks – where Solarig will integrate both fixed and tracking systems – is set to begin in the coming months. Commissioning is expected in late 2025, with operations due to begin in early 2026.
Headquartered in Spain, Solarig currently manages more than 10GW of photovoltaic assets and has a pipeline of over 20GW across 12 countries.
