Trump gets extension on judge’s El Salvador deportation flights questions
The Trump administration will get a one-day extension to respond to Judge James Boasberg’s questions about the El Salvador deportation flights.
The judge begrudgingly agreed to a delay:
Mere hours before their filing deadline and characterizing the Court’s proceedings as “a picayune dispute over the micromanagement of immaterial factfinding,” Defendants seek to stay the Court’s Order requiring them to produce in camera particular information. … Although their grounds for such request at first blush are not persuasive, the Court will extend the deadline for one more day.
“The Government’s Motion is the first time it has suggested that disclosing the information requested by the Court could amount to the release of state secrets. To date, in fact, the Government has made no claim that the information at issue is even classified.”

Trump and Zelensky’s ‘very good telephone call’ concludes
The call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has concluded.
An oddly measured and concise statement on Trump’s Truth Social account (not in the usual style or tone of the president) reads:
Just completed a very good telephone call with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine. It lasted approximately one hour. Much of the discussion was based on the call made yesterday with President Putin in order to align both Russia and Ukraine in terms of their requests and needs. We are very much on track, and I will ask Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, to give an accurate description of the points discussed. That Statement will be put out shortly.

Elon Musk ‘salute’ carved into sand in world’s largest Tesla protest
Elon Musk’s notorious “salute” has been carved into sand at the world’s largest Tesla protest. A 250m-long “Don’t buy a Tesla’ message” into the sand on a Welsh beach earlier this week. The words were carved into the sand, along with a silhouette of Musk’s infamous “salute” from Donald Trump’s inauguration. British political campaign group Led By Donkeys staged the protest on Black Rock Sands, near Porthmadog, Wales. It was made by attaching a rake to the back of a Tesla Model 3, which was driven around the beach to create the message.

FBI investigating latest arson attack on Tesla facility
An investigation into another arson attack on Teslas has been elevated to the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, officials have revealed.
President Donald Trump has vowed to treat those who vandalize Teslas in mounting attacks to protest Elon Musk’s job cuts and the dismantling of the federal government through the Department of Government Efficiency as “domestic terrorists.” Musk is the owner of Tesla and has seen his public opinion – and stock price of the car company plummet – since he joined the White House to slash the government budget.

Republicans are already getting in line behind Vance for 2028: ‘I think it’s inevitable’
The GOP is backing the vice president to succeed Trump as their next presidential candidate, despite the commander-in-chief recently stating it was “too early” to endorse Vance as his heir apparent.
The one-time “never Trump guy” turned MAGA stalwart was selected by Trump to be his running mate on the campaign trail in July 2024.
Eight months on, the president’s longtime aides and allies have begun throwing their support behind Vance for a possible run at the presidency in 2028.
