VSB Group has secured a contract for difference for a 303MWp solar project in Poland’s Lower Silesian Voivodeship, marking the company’s largest solar development to date.
The contract was awarded as part of this year’s renewable energy auction run by the Polish Energy Regulatory Office.
Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2025 on the 260-hectare site northeast of Wrocław, with grid connection targeted for the second quarter of 2027.
Once operational, the ground-mounted photovoltaic park is expected to generate enough electricity to power approximately 117,000 households.
The project is backed by a 15-year CfD, ensuring long-term revenue stability.
“With this project, we are setting a new benchmark for solar energy in Poland,” said Hubert Kowalski, managing director of VSB Poland.
He added: “In just a few years, it could evolve into one of Europe’s largest hybrid energy projects, combining photovoltaics, battery storage, and wind power.”
VSB Group chief executive Felix Grolman said the scheme “embodies the scale and ambition needed to drive meaningful change, while enhancing energy security in Poland and across Europe”.
The development follows VSB Poland’s delivery of the 190.8MW Miejska Górka wind farm, the largest in the country, for TAURON Zielona Energia.
